System Administrator As Senior System Administrator, you are the driving force behind the management, optimization and further development of our ICT infrastructure in the Netherlands.
You are part of a dynamic team of six third-line administrators and work closely with colleagues in Belgium and Germany, the Service Desk, key users and external partners.
Your expertise is essential for ensuring the continuity of our business-critical systems in a complex IT environment with 650+ workstations, 125+ applications and a high level of virtualization.
Responsibilities: Continuity and Performance: Monitor and improve the availability, performance and security of Windows-based systems.
Maintenance & optimization: Drive and perform technical maintenance, including backup management and troubleshooting through the Service Desk.
Collaboration & Support: Support the Service Desk and system administrators in resolving incidents and assist with infrastructure issues within Software Development and Middleware.
Coaching & knowledge sharing: Coach and mentor Junior and Medior System Administrators and act as technical point of contact.
Process Monitoring & Innovation: In collaboration with the Teamlead IT Systemadministration, monitor and improve IT administration processes and contribute to strategic innovations.
Projects & documentation: Participate in various IT projects and ensure accurate documentation.
Troubleshooting: Periodically participate in a 24/7 breakdown service (1x every 9 weeks) to ensure business continuity.
Requirements: MBO+/HBO working and thinking level At least 5 years of experience in IT management Knowledge of Microsoft Windows domain environments Experience with Citrix and/or VMware (basic level) Knowledge of networking Affinity or experience with Linux/Unix and Microsoft Azure (advantage) Willingness to participate in a 24/7 emergency service (1x per 9 weeks) Strong communication skills in English Flexible, service oriented and stress resistant Analytical, proactive and independent in acquiring technical knowledge.
Driver’s License is a must.
Benefits: Competitive salary depending on experience between €42000 – €48000, gross per year.
