Our client, a global electrical protection and connectivity solutions manufacturer is looking for a highly motivated New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to support its R&D and manufacturing teams during the introduction of new products.
The role focuses on sourcing, qualifying, and developing suppliers for critical electronic components, with a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and manufacturability.
The responsibilities of the NPI Engineer include: Partner with R&D teams to align supplier sourcing with new product requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for electronic components and assemblies.
Ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, lead time, and compliance standards (IPC, RoHS, REACH).
Implement supplier quality checks and audits for electronics (e.g., PCB manufacturing, motherboard assemblies).
Manage procurement of components for prototypes, pilot builds, and ramp-up production.
Monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions when needed.
Contribute to cost analysis, value engineering, and make-or-buy decisions.
Stay up to date on new technologies and supplier capabilities in the electronics industry.
