Company Profile: A dynamic and growing shipping company based in Athens is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team Key Responsibilities: Organize, supervise, and coordinate the daily operations of the accounting department (Category C books).
Verify and ensure the accuracy of accounting entries, financial records, and job costing for freight forwarding files and shipping agency operations.
Monitor and ensure full compliance with Greek tax regulations, VAT exemptions applicable to international transport, and the myDATA electronic ledger platform.
Manage and reconcile international transactions, multi-currency bank accounts, and financial statements with overseas agents, clients, and suppliers.
Prepare financial reporting , cash flow statements, and budget forecasts to support management decision-making.
Liaise with external auditors , tax consultants, port authorities, and customs officials.
